We are a group of secular humanists and atheists that are meeting to discuss secular activism in the South Austin community. All subjects are open for topic. We are currently participating in a creek cleanup project as part of the Keep Austin Beautiful program. We will also discuss secular resources available in our community (medical, daycare, etc.). This group will change with the wants and needs of the members, so come join and make a difference! We are affiliated with Dogma Debate Radio of Secular Media Group, LLC.
Our normal monthly meetings are at 10 a.m. on the second and fourth Saturdays of every month at Strange Brew Coffee on Manchaca. Look for us in the third room, usually at the larger rounded table by the window (if that one is taken we'll push some of the smaller ones together). If you have any trouble finding us, please don't hesitate to send a message! Occasionally one of these meetings will be relocated to the creek area we are in charge of as we schedule our cleanup events. Additional meetups of a more social nature will be scheduled as possible.
We strive to live up to the humanist principle of "I am 4th"--that is, putting humanity, nature, and equality before ourselves.
