What we're about
Upcoming events (4+)
This is our weekly Tuesday Meetup - Come and join us! Everyone is welcome! This is the online meetup, there is also a simultaneous in-person meetup.
The zoom link will be sent to you in a meetup message shortly before the beginning of the meetup, so be sure to RSVP early.
We welcome all skill levels and we play a wide variety of music styles. Come on down and make new friends, improve your Uke skills, and have some fun all at the same time. Meetup starts at 6:30pm and is over around 8:00 - You can't miss us!
This meeting is "Strum Along" format which means everyone plays and sings the same song at the same time. The songs are requests from the club, picked from the main songbook. The songbook can be downloaded at the link below. Print, practice and bring to the sing along! Songbook hard copies will also be available for loan and/or purchase at the meeting.

Please come join us at Vacation Island every Thursday at 4:00pm, (now at 4:00pm because of the start of Daylight Savings Time on Sunday March 13 at 2:00am). We'll be doing a sing-a-long much like the other Strummers events. All skill levels are welcome and encouraged. Directions: Head west into Paradise Point and take the immediate left. Head south and stay left along Ingraham Street to near the next bridge. It winds to the right just before the water. We'll be somewhere in that area. (Look for the crazy ukulele players) Bring a chair, a music stand, the books, a fleece and/or some kind of warm jacket as it can get breezy, your uke and a smile!
(This is an in-person event - not online).
Oh and we try to have a fire in one of the fire rings every week now. Bring some marshmallows!
Every Second Monday at Mid-City!
We host a jam with the opportunity to lead songs, try different instruments but mostly have a great time. Step up to the mic with your voice and/or chosen instrumaent, and lead us all in one of the songs from our song set. We'll all play along and hold down the beat. Feel free to bring your uke, guitar, banjo, rhythm instrument... a piano and cajon are available to play, too. If you'd like to lead a song we don't have, please have your chart ready as a Google Doc and send Cadence a message at least 7 days before the meetup.
Like all Mid-City Community Music jams, it's about community, and everybody playing along. Feel free to stay in your seat or try something new! There is a $5 recommended donation.
Songs are projected on a screen at the front of the room. Here is a link to our 2nd Monday Song Set: 2 Mon Songs
