What we’re about
Welcome!
Welcome to the Hau`oli Strummers ukulele club of San Diego. Hau’oli is Hawaiian for happy and that’s what we are. We are also a great community of uke players who get together to strum, sing, learn, teach, share, and most of all, have fun. We welcome anyone and everyone to join us.
Skill Level
We welcome everyone at all skill levels from the newest uke noobs to total uke stars. If you’ve never strummed or sung a note in your life or even if you are just shy, our club is a great place to be. The strum along format makes it easy to be as anonymous as you like while you’re learning and you’ll never be thrust into the spotlight when that isn’t your desire. If being in the spotlight is something you seek, there are plenty of opportunities to do just that.
Music
We play a wide variety of music including Rock, Country, Standards, 23 Skidoo, Hawaiian and more. Over the years we have compiled a great songbook containing all the songs we play at the meetings. Songbooks are available as a free PDF and hard copies are available for sale or loan at the meetings.
When
Our main meetings are on Tuesday nights starting at 6:30 and ending about 8:30. We have all kinds of other events too. Check the event announcements on the Home page for more information on all our events. Come check out a meeting it's really fun.

Print Version PDF - Ukulele Tuesday @ Campland in PBCampland Cantina, San Diego, CA
It's Taco Tuesday at the Campland Cantina, serving delicious food and tasty cocktails. This venue is less chilly than the outdoor patio at Denny's. It is an enclosed patio not an indoor restaurant. Dress accordingly. There is also limited parking, carpools are encouraged. We plan to have the projector but bring a book if you have one just in case. When you get to the Campland gate, tell the attendant you are going to the Cantina.
