In the beginning, we had a few adjustments in the Adjustments menu, but these were always destructive and hard to reverse. Then, in 1996, the team gave us Adjustment Layers in Photoshop 4, but few found them until seven versions later with CS4’s Adjustment panel in 2008. We now have "Smart Objects", which offer even more approaches, subtle and powerful, and interesting combinations, all having advantages and challenges.
In this presentation, we’ll look at those advantages, discuss the challenges, and celebrate the breadth of choices we now have to creatively adjust our imagery. Prepare to be surprised!
