Storybook Driven Development with Chris Cain

In this talk, Chris will give an introduction to a popular development environment called Storybook. We’ll discuss the benefits of developing UI components in isolation (not inside the app!), and go over good practices for building resilient, reusable components. Finally, we’ll talk about ways your team can use Storybook to improve the always difficult handoff between designers and developers, and increase the overall speed of development, without sacrificing quality.

A native of Ann Arbor, Michigan, Chris Cain is the Lead Engineer at Nutshell. A wanna-be designer turned developer, he’s passionate about frontend technologies, building great software, and/ excellent user experiences. He tries hard to foster a positive, fun, and inclusive company culture, without sacrificing all of his love for sarcasm. In his down time, Chris likes to cook, play soccer, and hold onto the belief he’s still good at ping pong.
