I'm a proprietary trader.
1. Having the ability and perseverance to ride out inevitable ups and downs that almost all start-up companies have to endure. 2. Support (not financial) but moral from friends and family. Many start-ups I see have friends and family that do not truly support what they are doing. All they see is the risk. People who have never taken a risk and never followed their passion to do what they want often find it difficult to support those that do. 3. Third relates to the first, you need to generate enough income before you run out of funds.
Meet interesting people who will share things I have never thought of that will inspire me.
I founded Axiom in 2007. I live and work in Boston's South End with my wife and dog.
