Julius' Journey to Promote His eCommerce Store

One of the first active members of SEO Kansas City came to the group with an interesting challenge. Julius, a seasoned eBay Seller and entrepreneur, was embarking on a new venture. He set out to take his newly-formed car enthusiast clothing company, Zero Apex Clothing, to the next level. After deliberating about all the different online marketing methods available, Julius came to the group for help.

The Challenge
Marketing an eCommerce store is a lot different than optimizing a product description on eBay's marketplace. After a brief run, and many marketing dollars down the drain due to pay-per-click advertising, Julius set-out to learn the ins-and-outs of search engine optimization (SEO). The problem was: he wasn't sure which advice to consider, and which actions to take now for improving his new eCommerce store.

How He Started
Julius started out, like, a lot of other people: searching online for advice. He came across a variety of perspectives for how to improve his search rankings. Should he focus on content marketing or link building? Onpage SEO or Offpage SEO? As his search became more prolonged, and as his notes were piling up, he wondered whether he really knew what he didn't know yet about how to improve the search rankings for his clothing company's eStore.

How the Group Is Helping
The group is helping Julius in several ways. First off, Julius didn't know whether his website was even showing up in Google Search Results. After all, he couldn't find his webstore by doing related keyword searches. We found out that his estore wasn't ranking at all. Now, partially from some of the advice provided by the group, Julius' eCommerce store is ranking in search results (see below).

The group is also helping Julius by providing actionable advice as he continues to build his brand. From auditing the Onpage SEO for his eCommerce store and providing feedback to giving advice for how he might rollout his link building campaign,
the group is here to help Julius along the way!

We thought it might be interesting to provide some updates about his journey to climb search rankings for products he offers on his website. Below are some updates to provide you with unquestionable proof that he is getting results by taking action in this group!
