Join me, and members from my group New to the SF/Bay Area on my birthday--(can't think of a better gift to myself :)-- for an urban hike through some of the hilliest streets of San Francisco. The walk will be a major cardio workout and will include some long staircases. We will visit the neighborhoods of Telegraph Hill, Russian Hill, Cow Hollow and the mansions of Pacific Heights. Now that it's springtime, flowers are in bloom and perfume is in the air.
Some of the famous steep streets and stairs will be Filbert St. Steps, Telegraph Hill, Greenwich Street, Broderick Street, Lyon Street Steps and of course Lombard Street!
We will go down a couple of new lanes and pass new mansions for this version, and end up for refreshments at Liverpool Lil's for those interested, before taking the free PresidiGo shuttle back.
Meet: 11:00 AM Depart: 11:15 sharp. Unfortunately, I will not be able to check for texts once we depart. If you text me about any delays, please include your name.
Lunch Stop: Jonas on Hyde
Restroom Stops: Starbucks or Ferry Building before the walk and Jonas on Hyde.
At the end of the hike, we will either take a free Shuttle back downtown or a public bus, 2.00. I don't know what time we will finish (depends on the group's pace and rest stops.)
Bring: Water, snacks, andlayers and cash in small bills for the activity fee and refreshments so we don't have to split the bill.
