Let?s meet up at the Lee Ritenour/Dave Grusin concert at Yoshi?s at Oakland?s Jack London Square on Saturday night, July 24th.

Lee Ritenour, one of my personal favorites, has for many years ranked among the world?s leading jazz guitarists. As a studio player, he?s participated in more than 3,000 sessions, and as a leader (since 1976), his discography includes over 30 albums and collaborations, the most recent being Smoke n? Mirrors. Ritenour has received 17 Grammy nominations, earned several gold albums, and topped guitar polls. He?s recorded a tribute to Wes Montgomery and a trilogy of ?Twist? CDs, with his takes on the music of Jobim, Bob Marley, and Motown. An original member of Fourplay (with Bob James, Nathan East, and Harvey Mason), Ritenour has also collaborated on disc with Larry Carlton and Dave Grusin. His Yoshi?s shows offer a rare opportunity to hear Ritenour in a relaxed, intimate setting.

Tickets for the 8pm show are $29 per person (including Yoshi?s $3 ticketing fee), but we can get a $5 discount if we order at least 10 tickets together (through me). If you?re interested, please RSVP ?YES? before Tuesday July 13th and pay $29 per person through this meetup page to charge your PayPal account. If we get at least 10 people, I will give you a $5 cash rebate at the concert.

This is a hot-selling show so please RSVP and pay before Tuesday July 13th. We will meet at the bar at 7pm so we can chat over a drink before the show starts.

Hope to see you there!
