TripIt is one of the hottest startups in the Bay Area. Our award-winning travel service is at the epicenter of converging web, mobile and social technologies. We’re growing quickly and recently closed on a third-round of $7M funding. Strategically, we’re an open travel platform with an API that enables the free flow of travel information. We’ve already attracted top partners like BCD Travel, LinkedIn, Google, Hotwire, Lotus, Plaxo and hundreds of developers who use our API including several of the top travel apps for the iPhone.

This position will have you working on TripIt's mobile applications, initially focusing on the iPhone, Blackberry, and Google Android platforms. We are looking for someone passionate about developing new technologies and solving difficult technical problems. You should have a good sense of product design, have solid development habits (e.g., unit testing, technical design documentation, etc.), have good experience with backend web technologies. You should be comfortable leading a team of developers and mentoring others. Most importantly, you should not be afraid to dive into new and unfamiliar technologies. Programming experience with iPhones, Blackberries, or J2ME is a strong plus, but it is not required.
