The Sketchbook Project

"It's like a taco truck but with sketchbooks. The Sketchbook Project is a global, crowd-sourced art project and interactive, traveling exhibition of handmade books.[Their] mission is to allow anyone to be able to participate in art and to create a collection of work that represents the current state of artists worldwide."

One of their small traveling shows will be in Potrero HIll at the Center for the Book for 3 days. Let's check it out and see if we want to join the project. (We can put in a group order and get 20% off.)

After looking at the sketchbooks, we'll hang around the Center for the Book and sketch some of the printing equipment and other cool stuff they've got sitting around.

(Post-sketching cafe location to come soon.)

I've submitted a sketchbook to this tour for three yrs running. If you've never been, allow yourself at least a couple hours to see this show of sketchbooks from all around the world. They only 'lend' 3 books at a time per person, but if we hang out together, we can trade books. Fun!
