1-Day Ski Trip to Homewood, Lake Tahoe

Join us for a day trip to Homewood for the first ski trip of 2011 … and you don’t have to drive there! Keiko is organizing this trip in conjunction with Bay Area Ski Bus, and SF Ski Club members get a discounted price. The RSVP deadline is December 23rd.

WHEN: Wednesday January 5th. Pickup times will be between 4:00-5:30am, depending on pickup point and number of people. We arrive at the slopes around 9:30am and depart at 4:30pm. Bus arrives back in the Bay Area around 8:30-9:45pm after a quick dinner stop.

WHERE: Homewood Mountain Resort, 5145 Westlake Blvd., Homewood, CA 96141, on the west shore of Lake Tahoe, about 200 miles east of San Francisco (about a 4 hour ride if traffic is flowing). The Bay Area Ski Bus has pickup locations in San Francisco, Oakland, Walnut Creek, San Rafael, and Santa Clara. (Actual pickup locations will vary depending on who is signed up for this trip.)

COST: $109 per person including bus transportation, lift ticket, continental breakfast and snacks on the bus. Pay by credit card/PayPal via our event page (see link below). SF Ski Club members are eligible for a $6 rebate (which will be paid on the day of the trip) if they pay online.

Homewood is a delightful gem of a ski area, a homey little resort with 1260 acres, 60 runs, 7 lifts including a new high speed quad, a summit elevation of 7880 feet, and the most spectacular lake views anywhere. If you love looking at Lake Tahoe from the top of a ski mountain, this is the place to be. It is so close to the lake that it feels like you’re going to ski right into the water. It has a lot of terrain for all types of skiiers and riders (from bunny hills to double black bowls with knee-deep powder). For more details, go to http://www.skihomewoo... (

Please RSVP before December 23rd on our Meetup event page and follow the instructions to pay online via credit card/PayPal. Keiko will send logistical details and a Liability Waiver Form to everyone who RSVPs “Yes”. If any questions, contact Keiko by email.

Hope to see you there!
