Commentary on the Videogames exhibit at the Smithsonian

I got to to got to the History of Video Games exhibit at the Smithsonian and it was fairly neat. The exhibit is small, only 3 rooms, but it's really interactive. It has some sample video games you or anyone else can try and a room with a run down on all the major consoles of each era. However, unless you come on a day that has a lecture or something like that, I don't think it's worth it to make a special trip just to see it. I say this because if you've always been a big video game fan you'll be familiar with most of the information.

However, it's definably worth a trip if you have a some kids/teens you want to drag with you. You'll feel extremely old, but they'll really enjoy it. I had a lot of fun shocking my 11 year old cousin with how older video games looked and no, seriously, Mario is over 25 years old.
