Doubly-bumped Jupiter Mountain is on the Lower Peaks List, but we plan to visit both its summits (the lower summit - 4431' - is sometimes called Juno Peak - it has more than 300' of prominence); even with that it should take less than two hours. (4 mi, 1300')
Red Mountain - not to be confused with nearby Red Rock Mountain - is quite mysterious - I can't seem to find any info about how to approach it. It's large and visible and has more than 900' prominence. It appears that the easiest way to bag it is via its eastern ridge and Ruby Springs Truck Trail. (12 miles, 1800' gain)
And we'll end the tour with a very short hike to the Bee Benchmark: (1 mile, 250' gain), giving us a nice view of Bouquet Reservoir.
We'll have a small (optional) BBQ/potluck, probably in Spunky Canyon Campground.
