Walk and talk and coffee
Siul Linn members asked us to put up the walks on meetup. Frank and Anne are members only. We suggest that if you are interested, that you turn up any Sunday morning and give it a try. This walk is part of the Cork 50s and 60s group. Please note; Down's is now Quish's Supervalu. The group is about 20 strong, who just turn up. No need to RSVP. hence it appears here as a group with no members! We are a group of 50 plus age group who meet for a sociable walk on Sunday mornings at 10.15am, departing 10.30 sharp. Each walk lasts approximately one and half to two hours with coffee to finish. As walkers we do not set out to break any records but it is really all about the exercise and chat. In the winter months we walk locally and when the weather improves we try to get to to a different walk, a little further away each week, weather and numbers permitting. The group is under the auspices of the HSE and the Cork Sports Partnership. Members accept drives, and walk totally at their own risk. Strong walking shoes or boots are advised as some walks are on rough terrain. Do make sure that you are medically fit for each walk.

What we're about

We meet every Sunday morning at the top of the County Council Carpark, outside the Chapel Gate Cafe, at 10.00am for a 10.15am kick off, This carpark is off the Main Street in Ballincollig, behind Down's SuperValu,

Siul Linn ... walk with us... Ballincollig asked if we would put up their weekly walk as a meeting.

Weather permitting, we try and get out and about for a walk and chat every Sunday while the weather is good. Winter time we stay fairly local. Walks are usually about an hour to two hours long, on reasonably flat terrain, often in forestry parks. We usually meet afterwards for a coffee or a drink. Strong shoes / walking trainers and sometimes boots are essential. Everyone walks and accepts and gives lifts totally at their own risk. The walk is associated with HSE.

Frank & Anne are just members of this group. This group was part of the Cork 50s and 60s group.

All welcome.
