What camera/gear do you shoot with?

Canon EOS 30D digital Camera, a Canon 50 MM - F 1.4 "normal"(portaiture) lens, 17-35 tamron wide lens, and a Tamron[masked] long lens. Tripod, a shutter (timer) release, polorizer and a few enhancing filters. Several flash cards(record image) , two batteries, and a dedicated flash. I always shoot in manual camera mode (except once in a while aperture priority) and always manual flash mode - sometimes with plus or minus "flash exposure" compensation of one or two stops.

Why type of photography interest you?

Model photography (what I want to learn right now as a very long term commitment and interest, portraiture, natural scenery- esp. -streams and waterfalls, and mountains.

What do you hope to learn from this group?

To go out at take a lot of shots of every model I shoot. I intend to use my new knowledge of model photography by putting that knowledge into practice with a patient and willing model. I want to help not only myself but also help as much as I can to make the model succeed with modeling so she can go on to be a success story and will not exept anything short of that goal. By practicing modeling and portraiture I will learn what to do and not to do when working patiently with the model on her poses.

What is your favorite photo?

a model shown in a natural setting so that the model and the nature scene compliment each other.

What is your expectation from this MeetUp group?

To make myself real experienced by putting my model photography knowledge into practice. I want to help a model succeed and go on to be a "success story".

Interested in taking shots of aspiring models. Moved back to Salt Lake a year and a half ago. Have studied for months now , in very great detail, model photography -- though its been a short time I have gained very extensive knowledge in this field .
