I changed my reply to "no" on gleanslo. I'll figure out what I need to do on meetup too. I do want to try this just a little busy with work & kids right now. Last 2 weeks of June will be better for me.

Andrea, Good deal as GleanSLO is the important site to signup on. I use the Meetup site to attract people to signup on GleanSLO. The next orchard work will be on Wednesday and Friday next week. Not necessary to signup on Meetup. Please signup for the orchard work on GleanSLO. http://www.gleanslo.o...

      Hi Marv,

Thanks for passing on the word about the Work Day tomorrow! The folks who you've recruited through the Meetup site still need to register as volunteers on the GleanSLO website and sign up for the event because of the Release of Liability Waiver. It is also helpful for us to keep track of new volunteers and hours through our new system. I'm sorry if this is a hassle for them, but that's the way it is now. Let me know if you have any other questions.

By the way, Andrea has registered as a volunteer...is this the same Andrea who you recruited? If so, she has not signed up for the apple thinning event yet. Hope you had a good weekend! See you tomorrow!

    Hi Mary & Pat,
I'm registered with the SLO Volunteers for the Environment, so would rather not register for yet another thing. Can you just tell me the location and other details from this site? Thx.

Thanks for the update. Hope it is doable another time. I expect us to remain on the Tuesday Thurday schedule for another couple of weeks to thin apples. The perk to the voluneer work for the Food Bank is most produce growers allow us volunteers to take a tote bag of produce home for our own use. At a later date when the apples are ripe, yum yum. We picked apples on this farm last season. Marvin
