If anyone is interested in doing a photowalk on street art, Flickr is hosting a worldwide photowalk event on August 3rd. Let's go out and shoot around the Mission District's famous street art! We had fun the last time around and I know there are members out there who would love to check out the colorful alleys!
Exercise your street photography skills. Capture textures, details and develop your "eye". While shooting solo has it's rewards, a small group walking close together provides safety in numbers, particularly in some parts of the urban landscape.
We will meet at a predetermined location that I will send to those on the final RSVP list. I will be at the location before 7:30 AM. We will do a quick meet and greet, go over some basics then start our hike. Be ready for an easy walk of about 2 miles on flat grade. This will be done during the early morning to make the most of the light, avoid the heat and we will be winding our way along some alleyways to capture street art. At the end of the walk, we can stop for coffee and pastries.
Things to bring(recommended):
Camera, one lens (fixed or zoom)
Pack light and bring some water for hydration
Walking shoes and comfortable clothing
No tripods are needed so you can leave them home.
I will be sending out an email to those attending a few days before the actual event with the final location.
When the link opens up tomorrow, feel free to post your best here or on the Flickr Global photowalks site! Use the hashtag #FlickrPhotoWalk (https://www.flickr.com/groups/flickr10photowalks/) in your Flickr page to get it automatically uploaded.
