Secular Organizations for Sobriety (SOS) provides a secular alternative to religiously based addiction recovery programs. While respecting recovery in any form, we do not view spirituality or surrender to a Higher Power as being necessary to maintain abstinence from alcohol or drugs. We respect diversity, welcome healthy skepticism, and encourage rational thinking as well as the expression of feelings. We each take responsibility for our individual sobriety on a daily basis.
