Community Rendezvous

So sorry to do this and bombard your emails. But Larry Benson just brought to my attention a possible conflict for this Wednesday: the monthly NCPC meeting at 7pm. I have again, and hopefully for the last time, re-scheduled this meet-up for Wednesday, March 24th, 6-8pm. Same bat time, same bat channel. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

See you soon . . . Kenneth

Greetings neighbors! My name is Kenneth Logan, and while my next door neighbor, David Chilcott, organized this meet-up site, he has asked me to help organize some gatherings. So it is my pleasure to both get more involved in our community and help facilitate neighborhood rendezvous'.

The idea behind these rendezvous' is to meet community members in our neighborhood, while supporting local establishments. The Golden Gate district has changed so much in the 6 years I've been here! Some call it gentrification (that many consider such a dirty word), some call it sad, and others have yet to share their ideas and feelings. With this, I offer to you our first "Meet-up".

Next Wednesday night, February 17th, from 6-8pm, I invite you to Tribu Cafe, a new cozy cafe that has extended it's hours to 8pm some nights and up to 10pm others, serving sandwiches, salads, pastries, coffee, tea, beer and wine (I was told by the owner that he "hopes" to have wine by next Tuesday and is "looking forward" to our gathering).

Tribu Cafe is located at 6501 San Pablo Avenue at the corner of 65th Street. Here's a Yelp page on Tribu: http://www.yelp.com/b... as I couldn't find a web site for them.

I look forward to meeting other neighbors and re-discovering our community!

Hope to see you soon (any time 'tween 6-8pm) . . . Kenneth
