File based photo organization or catalog based? What are the differences? How choosing one or the other impacts the organization of your photography database? How can I properly back up my photos? Are there tools that support it? Is there a best one? Do they work for Windows as well as for Mac? I am always running out of space and it is becoming difficult to manage my external hard-drives. Is there anything to do to better manage that?

If you, like many of us, struggle with these and other questions related the technological infrastructure that is inevitably surrounds our digital photography today, join Elton Saulsberry on our February edition of the Tuesday Learnshop. Elton is going to go through these and other different aspects of our computing infrastructure.

We will also have our mentors available to support you should you have other unrelated questions.

SPS Monthly Meetings (first Friday of each month) are for its members and guests. While competition entries at these monthly meetings are restricted to currently paid-up members, we ALWAYS welcome visitors interested in photography to attend. The Learnshops (fourth Tuesday of each month) are intended for members, but again, we welcome visitors. If you attend regularly, we ask that you help support the club (which pays for the rental of the facilities, supplies, and equipment) by becoming a member!!!
