January Learnshop - Panoramas

Details

Our theme for March is Panoramas. We've defined this as:

"Panoramic photography is a technique of photography that captures scenes with elongated fields of view, often created with several overlapping images. It is sometimes known as wide format photography. The term has also been applied to a single photograph that is cropped to a relatively wide aspect ratio. Show us a panorama photograph made from single or multiple images. Your panorama scene may horizontal or vertical."

To help us in our quest for excellent panoramas, Steve Weiss will guide us through the considerations for "panos."

The talk will begin with a explanation of panorama format and detail the photographic equipment that can help you to create stunning panoramas. He will survey best practices for camera settings and finally post processing options and work flow.

Steve Weiss is a member of SPS, GNPA and PPA. Most of his photography is landscape and wildlife, but he likes to experiment with still life and portrait photography. He is an avid Lightroom, Photoshop, NIK and OnOne user.
