Old Car Shoot at the Simpson Farm,[masked]

Looks like a record turnout for our Saturday afternoon shoot at the Simpson Farm. In case you have not been there, don't let the numbers bother you. The place is vast, hundreds of cars spread out over many acres. A pal was shooting there last weekend and reports that there are even more vehicles than before; lots of new tractors, and a group of fire engines. He added that the area has been plowed and seeded for ground cover. You are welcome to drive around the property, but keep your vehicles on the graveled roads. There have been questions about lens choices. As access is so easy, bring em all. From macro to medium tele. My favorite is wide angle to get close and include the background. HDR, panoramalamadama, Lens Baby, focus stacking, abstract angles, life is good!

I choose the 4 PM start time because I enjoy the late afternoon-to-dusk light. Great colors and shadows. You are welcome to arrive earlier. They are expecting us and some of the family members may come by.

Please respect your neighbors and mind your manors. Do not open hoods of doors, or climb on cars of trucks. There are no facilities on site, so pay attention to the closest place as you get near the site.

There will be two open entrances to the property; one near the old tractors, the other near a set of service buildings. Please start at the service building so you can sign a check-in sheet.
