Become a Premium Member of SPS

Greetings of the season –

I am writing you about the Southeastern Photographic Society. I know you have signed up on our Meetup site and if you have not already done so, I would like to invite you to become a premium (paid) member for 2018. The majority of the costs of the club (honoraria, prizes, food, etc.) are paid for by these premium memberships. And, at only $30/year ($40 for a family), it’s a bargain.

I joined SPS because I wanted to become a better photographer. SPS offers several opportunities for just that:

  • Regular photo meetups where members gather to photograph a certain place or an event, and share our images later on the meetup site.
  • Our first-Friday meetings, we have a speaker who shares his/her work and particular approach to photography.
  • Our second-Saturday Coffee and Critique offers more opportunity for feedback of our photos. Very informal and very helpful
  • Our fourth-Tuesday Learnshop series presents specific instruction on a variety of topics – ranging from Lightroom tips to macro to street photography.

But in addition, our premium members can:

  • participate in our monthly competition and critique (part of the Friday night meetings). The competition is fun, but honestly, I find just having a professional review my images is as important to me.
  • participate in SPS’s juried exhibitions. (There are usually one or two per year and it’s a great opportunity to have your work shown publicly.)
  • participate in some of the most interesting photo meetups which are limited in number of participants, and which are open to premium members only.

Can we count on you to join the ranks of our premium members? You will be supporting a great club and doing yourself a great personal photographic service as well. Want to take your images to the next level? I can’t imagine a better group to do it with. Here’s a link to sign up:

Thank you. And if you have any questions about SPS, please don’t hesitate to ask me. I can be reached at [address removed].
