Estate sale of Nikon photo gear

As some of you know, I had a photographer friend, Andrew Gee, who died in December. He was a Nikon shooter and I am trying to sell some of his gear. All proceeds will go to his sister in Tennessee.

Overview: I’m pretty impressed with how clean everything looks. It appears that he took very good care of his stuff. Also, I asked my Nikon buddies Harriet and Jeff to take a look. They looked at both bodies and each lens. Everything seems to working fine. Lenses come with hoods, caps (with one exception noted below). They all have UV filters on them. Also, I think I have all of the original boxes and documentation.

I’ve tried to price carefully, basing the price on an average online price and dropping it a bit from there. If you think I’ve made a mistake, please tell me. (I’m a Canon shooter and the Nikon nomenclature for their lenses is a bit arcane to me.) All prices should be lower than used retailers like KEH. Contact me soon if you’re interested. I would MUCH rather sell to an SPS member than have to put stuff online.

IMPORTANT NOTE to SPS members: If you buy, you can have 3 days to check out what you bought. If there is any problem with the item, I will take it back and refund your money.

Pictures are at Please contact me at [address removed] or send me a message through Meetup with any questions.

Here’s a brief summary of what is still available:

D750, 14,500 clicks, with battery grip. Asking $1,150. Prefer to keep the body and grip together. This looks practically new.

Body ($[masked], KEH)
Nikon strap, boxes, manuals
MB-D16 battery grip ($200, KEH)
3 batteries
Herringbone leather hand strap – new ($40)
Tripod plate and BlackRapid Strap connector

D7100, 51.5k clicks, with battery grip and[masked] lens. Asking $490 for the kit. Prefer to keep the body, lens and grip together. This looks very good, but obviously has seen more use than the 750. Lens is clean with minimal dust.

Body ($[masked], KEH)
Boxes, manuals
MB-D15 battery grip ($190, KEH)
[masked] DX lens ($65-95, KEH)
3 batteries
Herringbone leather hand strap – new ($40)
Tripod plate and BlackRapid strap connector
BlackRapid strap ($60)
Does NOT include: Camera body cap, Lens back cap, battery charger

[masked], G ED DX, Asking $500 ($[masked], KEH)
Very clean, minimal dust

[masked] D ED VR, Asking $390 ($[masked], KEH)
Clean, minimal dust. Note: This is the first version of this lens (the “D”, not the “G”).

[masked], G ED VR, Asking $140 ($400 new)
Clean, some dust

Thanks very much.
