BALM-BOYETTE /TAIL OF THE GECKO

This is a modified Tail of the Gecko ride.  It takes us along some lonesome roads and returns us back where we started.  In short, alot of rambling.   KSU 0930.  This is about a 150 mile total trip.

It took a little longer than the rest of you guys, but I finally managed to get home. It appears that I had another accident, and I don't have any memory of it either. I seem to be OK, and the bike isn't damaged, but this time I have a witness. Dennis said he saw the whole thing ... Jenny threw me under the bus. I tell ya, I just don't feel like I've been hit by a bus, let alone run over by one.

That's right, we started off going the wrong way - and everyone paid for that mistake -- literally. 2 words Jenny: large type.

Those were not pot holes ... sink holes, crevices, craters, whatever. I just could not believe how big, deep and numerous they were on that one stretch of 39.

I wish the roads had been dryer -- would have been more fun on the curves. Nice restaurant ... really impressed that a place that good and friendly was in the middle of nowhere. And thanks for tagging the photos ... I felt like a newbie not knowing the names of half the people I rode with today.

We had a wonderful day with very friendly people. We think it is awesome how organized this group is. We are very comfortable riding with you. Can't wait for the next ride.

Before I forget, I want to thank Bill, Jeff, Warren and John for helping out on the ride. I better include Jennie in this. She is great in planning but not so good with directions (LOL).

After a questionable start in the wrong direction, we had a great time. As always, it was fantastic seeing all of you again.

Dutch, there is a group in Tamp called the North Hillsborough riders group. They often meet in your area. Great bunch of people. You may want to hook up with them. Ken is the group leader and I am sure you will feel welcome.
