Hike Blue Hills, Kid and Dog Friendly

The name of this trail is Skyline Loop. We will be following the blue blazes over a few small hills leading up to the tower on Great Blue Hill. This will be a longer, intermediate hike (about 1 1/2 hours each way), but not as steep as last week. Great view of Boston from there, and a good spot for a snack or lunch. I plan on parking on the side of the street across the from the headquarters building. We will meet next to the public restrooms behind the Headquarters building at 9:00 and head up the trail by 9:30. I will be bringing my 6 year old daughter and maybe a very friendly dog or 2. My daughter has done this hike a few times, so feel free to bring kids and/or dogs. I will most likely bring a couple water bottles and some easy trail snacks like a trail mix and a banana. I will be wearing a heavy hiking pack as part of my training for a GoRuck later this year, so I don't mind carrying your snacks. That way you don't need to bring a back pack. But, if you're up for it, feel free to grab a heavy pack and train with me. The trail may be muddy, so wear appropriate shoes. I will be wearing minimalist trail running shoes, you may want hiking boots, but sneakers will also work.

There is no more street parking, so we need to park at the Houghton Pond parking lot and walk down the street. [masked] if you need better directions
