The hit improv comedy show Lost in Translation is back for another season! New games, new cast members, and never the same show twice. This hilarious show puts the experience of living in Sweden as a foreigner on stage.
Meetup sent three groups to this show last year and they loved it. This is a great chance to see Improvisation at its best.
The cost is 200 SEK per ticket, but if you sign up through meetup you can get tickets for 150 SEK each. The theatre also has a bar and you can get their early, grab a table and have a drink. Doors open at 18.30.
If you want to come with someone else, ask them to join the group if they are not already a member.
Josh Lenn, American actor and ‘love refugee’, moved to Sweden 4 years ago. Like most foreigners, he was presented with many challenges, as well as amazing experiences. He became fascinated with the idea of being an
expat in Sweden: ‘It is a very unique experience because Sweden is such a small country with strong social norms‘.
So what would any LA actor worth his salt do? Put on a show!
Not just any show, but an improv comedy show, since it provides a fantastic vehicle to both laugh at cultural differences, as well as understand them. The show runs on three Friday nights this Autumn and it will be a mix of short form and long form improv, driven by audience suggestion. Josh will be working with some of Sweden’s best improvisers, who are brave enough to put their “Swedishness” under the microscope.
