User Research, Rapid Prototyping, Emotion Recognition in an Agile world

  • May 8, 2013 · 6:30 PM

Rapid Prototyping and agile research are important, but how does one go about doing both?

We're all in the midst of building amazing products, but how should you prioritize user research and user testing as you try to accomplish your end goal?

Kyle Henderson of YouEye will present techniques for integrating rapid testing with real users into your product development process. Kyle is the CEO of YouEye, a revolutionary new service that tracks emotions using facial recognition so you can measure people's reactions during testing.

He'll run down a few key approaches for both rapid prototyping and agile research, highlight specific prototyping tools in the space, and show how user research plays into the fast-moving approaches of today's product-focused teams.

Kyle Henderson is the CEO and Co-Founder at YouEye, an agile user testing tool which offers webcam tracking, emotion recognition and eye tracking.

Prior to YouEye, Kyle worked across multiple roles in product, engineering and design-oriented roles, accruing experience at six web startups, NAVTEQ and NOKIA.

One topic not covered was A/B testing of application components. Does anyone have a a favorite technology tool to make this easier for an application that requires login?

I loved seeing the YouEye demo and how they accelerated growth with partnerships (TaskRabbit). I second: Go, YouEye!

Kyle surpassed expectations with excellent training in best practices for user research, topped it with demo, shared back story to YouEye and details of his process for getting initial investments. Enlightening on many levels.
