MongoDB's dynamic aggregation framework allows users to filter documents through arbitrary pipelines of powerful operators. It's like a Unix pipeline, but for structured big-data documents instead of text. This talk explains the aggregation framework and examines three real-world examples using real data sets and Perl.

Michael Friedman of the East Coast will fly into California for this specially scheduled presentation. He will give the same presentation at both SF.pm (http://www.meetup.com/San-Francisco-Perl-Mongers/events/185508632/) (June 11) and SVPerl (June 12).
