What we’re about

Welcome to Sac-Sierra Kayak Explorers Group, SKEG ! We are a community of people passionate about getting outside and on the water to kayak, canoe, and SUP. We also hike, bike, and Explore ! Being outdoors is good for your soul ! We are here to share our knowledge and have fun while promoting safety, camaraderie and stewardship. Whether on the water, hiking a trail or relaxing around the campfire, we just enjoy being outside.

Our goal is to create an environment of safety and fun where we can come together and grow our skills.
We are based in Sacramento and the Sierra Foothills but will be traveling all over the western states. We welcome all levels and you will see different events from beginner paddles to class 1 and 2 rivers. The skill set required will be listed in each event.
If this sounds like the place for you, Welcome Aboard.
