1730 Santa Clara Drive, Roseville, CA
Part discussion group/part book study, this group focuses on Karen Armstrong’s “Twelve Steps to a Compassionate Life.”
If you haven’t read the book, but you wish to join us, please come! We discuss one chapter per meeting (per month), but our conversations often take tangents. Participants are interested in enhancing their relationships with loved ones, their communities, and the larger world.
We meet the third Saturday of every month, from 9:30 – 11:00 a.m. at the Roseville Labou. Each month’s chapter is as follows:
January – How Little We Know
February – How Should We Speak to One Another?
March – Concern for Everybody
April – Knowledge
May – Recognition
June – Love your Enemies
July – Learn about Compassion
August – Look at Your Own World
September – Compassion for Yourself
October – Empathy
November – Mindfulness
December – Action
Compassionate Humanist meetups are thought-provoking, uplifting, and educational, as well as enjoyable. Everyone who shows up wants to contribute to a more compassionate world. Join us!
