I want to let you know about some upcoming events:

- Book discussion about Dennett's Breaking the Spell on Wed, 2/27 @ 6:30 pm
- Monthly meeting, Tues, 1/19 @7, including a presentation by Steve and Ted about growing up Mormon
put on by other local groups
- If you missed Ted Cox's speech about gay-to-straight therapy at our December meeting, catch his improved speech at HAGSA's meeting tomorrow night, Friday, 1/7 at 7 pm.
- ARC's Prof Breitenbach will talk about how Christian's "organized and targeted non-Christian students and other minority groups with malicious propaganda" in 2007, and the current atmosphere of the ARC campus. AOF this Sunday, 1/10.
- PZ Meyers, author of the science blog Pharyngula, 2009 ?Humanist of the Year,? and noted atheist activist and critic of intelligent design will be speaking at 3 colleges in the area this month: UC Davis (Thurs 1/21 @6:30), Sac City College (Tues 1/27 @7pm), and Sierra College in Rocklin (Thurs, 1/28).
- Sacramento's 13th Annual Darwin Day is Sunday, 2/7 @2. Discount tickets are available by mail by 2/1.
