William Pond Recreation Area- CNPS plant id walk

I will be heading on a plant identification walk with the
CNPS Friday morning. I tell people to arrive early because we will leave at 9am
and will not wait for lates. I planning to arrive[masked] to allow for traffic
or any unforeseen things that may slow you down. We will be focusing on identification
of native plants and not so much on edible aspects. Always learn great stuff
when I head out with the group.

Steve will lead us past the Patti Habel Bench to the river
and then west along the river and around the pond.  William Pond recreation area is one of the most well established and popular parks along the river.

Bring water, hat, snack, sun protection.

Parking is $5 or use an Annual Parks Pass.

We will meet at the first parking area past the entrance
kiosk near the green "A" teardrop on this map or use the directions

William Pond directions from downtown Sacramento

- Take Highway 50 East to Watt Ave, exit #11

- Watt Ave North

- Right on Fair Oaks Blvd

- Right on Arden Way

- At the end of Arden Way you’ll enter the American River
Parkway at William Pond

- Even if no one is working at the Entrance Kiosk, be sure
to self-register your vehicle ($5) unless you have an Annual Parks Pass.

- Park in the first set of parking spaces available past
the entrance kiosk. We’ll meet you there.

Very interesting plant id walk. I learned about quite a few plants that I wasn't familiar with.
