What current knowledge do you have about harvesting wild edibles?

I like to read a lot, have several plant identification books and even some plant I.D. flash cards lol I have an intense fascination for the green world and find myself being an avid gardener. I currently have blueberries, grapes, kiwi, raspberries, a tobacco plant, a self-sustained aquaponics system which includes all my basic and exotic herbs including heal-all and stinging nettle- all on my apartment patio :-) I have many friends into plant identification and wild edibles who I go on walks with. I'm good at networking and expect my new group "Sacramento Foragers" to help my knowledge on the topic soar.

It is my belief that nature gives us abundance and with proper care we can teach future generations to help preserve the abundance of the natural world. I am organizing regular meets for outdoor walks and other events to support perpetual learning.
