A nice walk today with the California Native Plant Society, members of elderberry farms and for the first time some cross pollination with the Sacramento Foragers at Beek’s Bight. The objective of the walks for the CNPS is to observe plants often (walks once a week, unless heavy rain) - in many stages and throughout all seasons. To create a perpetual learning environment for anyone interested in coming out and also to gather seed for propagation and rehabilitation projects. A nice time sprucing up on my plant databank. Look forward to the walk this next Friday at upper sunrise and believe a talk/walk on lichens is coming up this sat.
