[Note: Wintertime Art Hikes start at 3:30p.m. and end before dark in November through February and will cancel only if it's rainy, cold or foggy. Call[masked] two thousand if weather is questionable.]
Fun hikes with an educational, easy watercolor postcard art lesson for all ages, now repeating monthly.
We supply all art supplies. Small watercolor kits, 3.5 x 5" blank postcards and watercolor brushes. If you prefer to bring your own supplies, think small, lightweight, and portable so not to slow down your hiking. Your optional donation ($5 suggested per person) will help us recover supply costs. The quick sketching & painting demos are free - and priceless! :)
Bring your water bottle, bug spray and pocket snack. Your friendly, well behaved dog is welcome.
Meet at the Lockeport Grill & Fountain, 4 buildings past famous Al the Wops in historic Locke.
This is a mostly level 1.5 mile hike. There is one 20' long somewhat steep narrow path up a levee hill and some optional off-path prickly narrow paths. Don't be late!
We wind up back on Main Street, Locke where we'll arrange a grouping of our color sketches together (optional) for an informal 5 minute group art show and photo.
Your well-behaved, obedient dog on a leash okay to bring along. Do bring your cheerful children and grandchildren!
Rain or high winds will postpone this event to a future date to be determined. Meanwhile, think sunshine!
Our Sacramento Plein Air Painters and Hikers & Company meetup groups are also invited and we may find a few more friends to join us, so there may be a few more participants than our RSVPs indicate here.
Call[masked] two thousand if you have any questions. Rain, high wind, fog or really cold weather cancels.
Thanks, Martha Esch
