Koffee Klatch and SVS Annual Meeting

10 a.m.   KOFFEE KLATCH: We want to give folks a place to:

• Stop by for a few minutes or linger for a while;

• Mingle with old friends and new supporters over coffee, tea, and vegan snacks;

• Talk about what they're up to (bring flyers, handbills, petitions, opinions, bright ideas).

We'd also like to hear your ideas on future SVS activities, so tell us:

• What you'd like to see SVS doing in the coming year,

• Of other groups we can work with on common goals.

—you get the drift. Please bring kuestions, komments, and kriticisms, along with your kaffeine kravings.

You bring: vegan "brunchies";

We supply: koffee (de-kaf included) and a selection of teas.

The fourth Sunday of March is when the Sacramento Vegetarian Society, a nonprofit organization registered under federal and state law, is legally required to hold its annual meeting and election of officers. All SVS members in good standing are encouraged to attend, participate, and vote (and help us reach a quorum so that votes are binding). This is your chance to participate in the democratic governance of the Sacramento area's only nonprofit membership organization.

All current officers (President: Glenn Destatte; Vice President: Wim Van Warmerdam; Secretary: Mary Rodgers; and Treasurer: Don Knutson) are running uncontested for re-election. Any other members who would like to run for office should let the SVS Secretary ([masked])  know before the annual meeting.

And … this is a great time to get your items of interest on the agenda and help steer SVS through the next year. You don't have to be a member to attend the annual meeting, but only dues-paying members in good standing are eligible to vote. Becoming an SVS member is easy, just go to the SVS website and join online.

Any questions? Please get in touch at [masked] or[masked]-0563.
