Thanksgiving Sweat Lodge, November 25th in Gold Hill near Boulder,CO

  • Nov 25, 2012 · 9:00 AM
  • In the Kiva at

I invite you to join me in the glorious space of a sweat lodge on the Sunday following Thanksgiving, Nov. 25. at 570 Pine in Gold Hill. Our last holiday lodge was last Easter and we had such a magnificent group of people participating with us. Thanks to the generosity of Jeff Combelic who offers his beautiful space and guidance we will ,once again, sing, pray, and open our hearts together as we thank Mother Earth and all that is for our incredible abundance. Children are welcome.
Please arrive by 9:00AM to assist with the preparations.

REMEMBER: Parking is limited at the house so please
park on Main Street unless... and walk up-Thanks.

Please bring a dish for the potluck afterward (meat OK). A $10 minimum
contribution (suggested is $20) is expected. Funds are going to a local
Native American family in financial duress.

Attire should be modest and non revealing: men: baggy swimsuit or
shorts, women: a long cotton dress or T-shirt and shorts. Bring a towel.
The ceremony and protocols are explained before the lodge. About the
heat: you may leave the lodge if it is too hot for you. Understand that
sitting by the fire you are also in the ceremony and is a powerful time
to pray and meditate, so if you need to leave the lodge the ceremony
just continues for you around the fire. I also allow people to come back
in if they need to sit out a round.

I look forward to being in ceremony with those of you that feel called,

Directions to Jeffrey’s House and the Kiva 570 Pine St., Gold Hill,[masked]:

In Boulder, take Canyon Blvd west, turn right (north), on 9th St. Go up the hill and turn left on Mapleton Ave (west) which becomes Sunshine Canyon. Go up 10 miles (stay left 5+miles up where the road becomes dirt). Entering Gold Hill you are on Mainstreet. Continue up past the store (on your left about 1 block up). Turn right at the next street, then right again. The house is 2 houses down on the left with solar collectors and a big bay window with a deck over it. The Kiva and lodge are in the backyard.

It is difficult to put into words this experience that you receive as you return to your family in this sweat lodge... The joy, community, love and friendship that is shared, and the cosmic connection that binds us, permeates and flows throughout the lodge. I feel purified and purged, and more closer to the Godhead than ever before in my life. When you do this work and give thanks to our Creator and ancestors, you plug into the Universal love. Both of these lodges (Gold hill and in Florissant) are wonderful, the leaders, Patti and Jeffery are fantastic and shamanic.
