What we'll do:
Limited conversation will be encouraged to engage with nature and the walk more mindfully. The overall sentience is different at night time as the plants shift into a different phase and the nightscape differs. There will be short singing bowl meditations to focus on the different energy that the night time brings.
The first parts of the trail are steep, as we follow the trail to the top of the main waterfall, and then continue to ascend from the second waterfall.
*** The walk will not be fast paced, but some degree of fitness will be required for this part of the trail. ***
We will continue to walk past the Chinaman's hut, and then will retrace the same path back to the carpark. (We will not be climbing to the Mt Lofty summit).
Park in the Waterfall Gully Carpark.
We will meet at the Information boards (located between the carpark bridge and the stairs that lead to Utopia Café)
-A head torch or flashlight. (A red light would be preferable, since it doesn't interfere with night vision).
-Water -Supportive footwear suitable for hiking.
-Also wear clothing suitable for walking and the weather conditions. The temperature can drop quickly so a warm jacket/ weatherproof outer layer, and warm hat may be advisable.
