Sahaja Yoga was developed by Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi. It involves the awakening of a subtle spiritual energy which lies dormant in the sacrum bone, rolled up in a spiral of three-and-a-half coils. The gentle awakening of this Spiritual energy and the inner journey of self discovery is known as Self-realization. The experience can be felt on the fontanel bone area on the top of the head, palms and fingertips. It can be practiced by people of any age, and does not involve any physical exercises. Sahaja Yoga by regular practice brings balance to the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual being.
