Free Sahaja Yoga meditation in English on Tuesdays at 6 p.m. - just show up!
Hello there! We'd like to welcome you to our FREE Sahaja Yoga meditation meetings hosted by Tereza & friends which take place in Kamppi Sahaja Yoga center, Salomonkatu 19, inner courtyard, Helsinki – at 18.00hrs on Tuesdays. With this VIDEO you can find Kamppi Sahaja Yoga center! (https://vimeo.com/199566137) In Sahaja Yoga meditation, we can achieve the state of yoga – connection with our real Self – effortlessly and spontaneously. We normally sit on chairs or on pillows on the floor, so there is no need for mats and no special clothing is required. We are all volunteers of a community based non-profit organisation and have many years of experience in offering Sahaja Yoga meditation classes – always free of charge. All across the globe, many are seeking new sources of energy. Meanwhile, the most transformative energy of all is hiding in plain sight, within us. It's natural, sustainable, and infinitely renewable. It's called inner kundalini energy. And everyone has it already – everyone! It is often likened to an inner feminine or motherly energy which knows everything about us and what is needed to help us to restore balance and harmony within our subtle being. It works through a living process and cannot thus be paid for. It is effortless and spontaneous. Simultaneously, we become more aware of the state of our inner chakras (energy centres) and subtle body. The idea is that you don't do yoga - you Achieve Yoga! Sahaja Yoga meditation is a simple, time-honored technique. It helps to reduce stress and increase wellness and health holistically. It gives us better focus in our lives and helps us to become more balanced. We achieve the state of true meditation, which, in essence, is to be in the present with no mental activity or thoughts about the past or the future. It’s ultimately all about getting into thoughtless awareness, a natural state of being. And anyone can achieve it. Founded by Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi, Sahaja Yoga meditation is a world-wide movement for peace and self-awakening. Each week we go through simple meditation techniques and do several guided meditation excercises. In addition, the classes consist of an introductory talk, videos, practical workshops as well as time for questions and discussion. We also share tips on how to stay in balance during the day and how to meditate at home. The classes are designed to help those attending to get into a genuine meditative state, which can be tangibly felt. Occasionally, there are weekend retreats for deepening the experience. Meditation means mental silence or thoughtless awareness. You are present here and now, but your mind is not bombarded by thoughts from the past or the future. In this state, you feel peace and joy, which are the essential elements of the present moment. With regular practice of meditation, it is possible to establish this state within us.

The groups are lead by volunteers who are experienced and can offer guidance to get you started. We give a short introduction to the meditation and after that we do several different meditation exercises. At the end of the meetings, we have a cup of tea and there is time for questions. We also give tips on how to meditate at home.
