WHO ARE WE?

We are a group of genuine seekers of Truth who found the path through Sahaja Yoga meditation. What is so different and beautiful with Sahaja Yoga is the possibility to BECOME your own guru and the becoming happening through the process of what we call self-realisation where you become aware of your inner system, you learn to diagnose your self for then to be able to clear out any imbalance which will help you to obtain and sustain the meditative state. We are all volunteers and have many years of experience in offering free Sahaja Yoga Meditation classes.

HOW ?

Each week we go through simple meditation techniques, often with guided meditations to help reduce stress and achieve the peace of true meditation. We share tips on how to help stay in balance during the day and how to meditate at home. The meditation is based on connecting with the inner chakras (energy centres) and balancing the subtle body. The tradition and aims of meditation are explained which in essence is to be in the present with no mental activity or thoughts about the past or the future. The classes are designed to help those attending get into a genuine meditative state, which can be felt tangibly. It is quite effortless and spontaneous. The free classes feature introductory talks, videos, practical workshops and general question and answer opportunities, making them perfect for seekers trying to establish a state of yoga.

Founded by Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi, Sahaja Yoga Meditation is a world wide movement for peace and self awakening. All across the globe, many are seeking new sources of energy. Meanwhile, the most transformative energy of all is hiding within us. It's natural, sustainable, and infinitely renewable. It's called kundalini energy. And everyone already has it — everyone! It is often likened to an inner feminine or motherly energy which automatically knows about us and what is needed to help us restore balance and harmony within our subtle being. Some regard meditation is the mental concentration on something, others consider that we meditate when we imagine something that gives us peace or satisfaction. These exercises are not really meditation - they are substitutes for meditation because it is normally very difficult to stop our minds all-together. In reality, meditation is a state of thoughtless awareness. It is not an act of doing - it is a state of awareness. We either in this state or we are not, regardless of what we are doing in life. Truly, a man can be in meditation while doing his day’s labors as another man can be very far from meditation while sitting in a lotus posture on the top of a mountain. ---- Sahaja Yoga meditation ---- Sahaja Yoga Meditation was developed by Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi. Sahaj means "spontaneous" or "born with you" and yoga translates as "union" (with the Divine or all-pervading power). Sahaja Yoga Meditation then translates as "the method of divine union through yoga which everyone is born with". Kundalini is a subtle spiritual energy that lies dormant in the sacrum bone at the base of the spine in three-and-a-half coils. Through Sahaja Yoga, the Kundalini energy can be awakened spontaneously and effortlessly. This benevolent, nurturing energy, when awakened, passes upward through the nerve plexuses in the body and comes out of the top of the head at the fontanelle bone area. One can feel this energy as a cool breeze above the head, as well as in the palms of the hands.
