Hornbill Festival & Dzukou Valley (5D/4N @ 11999/-)

This one is conceptualized by the Government of Nagaland to bring the 16 Naga tribes under one roof. This five day trip includes a trekking to Dzukou Valley as well that will let you revel in the fascinating serenity. Itinerary: (Tentative) Day 0: 11:30 pm: Board train from Guwahati railway station Day 1: • Dimapur to Kohima by hired vehicle (3 to 4 hours) Note: People traveling to Dimapur by flight has to reach Dimapur by 6 am • Khonoma village tour, which is 20 km from Kohima. Return to Kisama heritage, stay overnight in Homestay. Day 2 & 3: • Kisama Heritage Village (the place where Hornbill festival is held) for the cultural event. • Music festival venue: where different bands from around the world will perform. Stay overnight in Homestay • Night Carnival Day 4: • After breakfast, we will leave for the Dzukou Valley base camp and will start our trek to the enchanting Dzukou valley. The trek will be for 3 to 4 hours. • After exploring the valley, we come back to our camping space. The sky view from Dzukou valley will make your evening – worth every penny. Stay overnight in Camp Day 5: • Early morning we will trek back to base camp, leaving the magnificent trails behind. • We will drop you at Dimapur Airport/Railway station at 3 pm. Meet and greet and drive to Shillong- Scotland of the East. 120kms from Guwahati airport. 1. Umium lake 2. Umium view point Evening in the streets of Shillong & Ward's lake. Night halt in Shillong Day 2 - Guwahati to Cherrapunji 1. Elephant falls 2. Mawkdok view point 3. Wahkaba falls 4. Awrah cave/Mawsamai caves 5. Nohkhalikhai falls 6. Seven Sister's Falls 7. Eco Park. Night halt in Cherrapunji. Day 3 - Double decker root bridge and rainbow falls trek Start from hotel to Tyrna village about 15kms from your hotel to start your trek. 3000 steps 1 way. Trek further to rainbow falls and return to Nongriat for night stay. (Depending on the Group energy) Day 4 - Cherrapunji to Shnongpedeng Trek back to tyrna village and head to Mawlynnong. In between we go to Dainthlen falls and Weisawdong falls. Reach the cleanest village in Asia, Mawlynnong and single decker root bridge. Head to Shnongpedeng for a night camping with Bonfire. Day 5 - Shnongpedeng to Shillong Get up early and get splashed. Enjoy water activities like Boating, snorkeling, cliff jumping, ziplining,kayaking in the Umgnot River known for clean waters. Head to the majestic Krangshuri waterfalls. Return to Shillong for night stay. Day 6 - A day plan which will be a spontaneous plan.
