This is a group for intermediate and higher skill sailors/boaters who like to daysail, cruise, race and travel.
The three most important characteristics you'll need to possess are
to be an intermediate sailor (&/or of a higher skill level),
be a good shipmate
and be a life-long-learner in the arts & sciences of sailing/boating.
From time to time we may meet one-on-one to discuss your sailing priorities and goals. Afterwards there may be a possibility to be recommended to join other sailing related events such as local, and on occasion abroad, sail cruises, weekend sail/race events and other sailing related gatherings.
However, there is a process to become part of a list whereby you'd be notified of such events that may also include delivering boats, long-term races and other highly skilled sailing activities.
You're required to have a sailing resume and recommendations from other known sailors of being a good shipmate. Of course it's a given that sailing requires resources such as the time to do this activity and may incur the usual and customary expenses; although owning a sailboat is not a requirement.
From time to time I may post group gatherings for us to discuss our experiences and aspirations for future sails. But one-on-one meetings may be a good approach as well.
These Meet-Ups will most likely be during the non-traditional sailing seasons. Of course if you're a Frostbiter, than most likely you sail all year round!
