What we're about

Sun, sea, wind on your face and salty taste on your lips...
Chasing the horizon while enjoying the freedom of gliding through the waves powered by the wind.
This is Sailing. It's not about overtaking others, it's about discovering your way of life, exploring the world, meeting people and making friends.

This is what we do. We are sailors, we travel to new and known places while enjoying a good company, pleasant conversations, beautiful nature and while learning new skills. Usually we organize multi-day trips with one or more sailing yachts. Mostly we are based in and around The Netherlands and we sail in Dutch waters or we organize trips to well-known sailing destinations.

Join us if you are a sailor too or if you just want to discover this amazing world of sea and wind and to become a member of our sailors tribe! You don't need to have sailing experience. The typical sailors who will find this group attractive are open for new experiences, want to meet new people, they respect different personalities and can stand some days with less comfort than at home. Are you one of them? Come aboard!

Summer Sailing Day trip Volendam - Oostvaardersdiep return

Hello Sailors, We see that the Summer is coming back next week so we organise a Day Sailing event on the Markermeer on Saturday. You can expect to meet new, nature loving friends and enjoy the close proximity of the water. During the sailing day trip you can just relax and lay back on the deck or help out with sailing if you like. The forecast looks great for sailing on the weekend with some sun and enough wind to have a fun day on water. We are organizing a daytrip from Volendam, in the morning to the nature reserve Oostvaardersdiep (near Almere) and back to Volendam in the afternoon. Volendam is easily accessible by public transport from Amsterdam CS and you don't need to have sailing experience to participate. You can check out the photo galery of previous sailing daytrips to have an idea what to expect or a short video on https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QXZEuRm4dGk and https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UB2Q0uGuo30 The boat is a 36 foot long Jeanneau Sun Odyssey which has a salon, kitchen, 2 cabins and a bathroom on board. There are five places available for the trip, excluding crew. The daytrip will start in Marinapark Volendam at 11 am. We will meet on the terrace of the Restaurant Paviljoen Smit-Bokkum facing the marina 2 min walking from the bus stop Marinapark or the long-term parking behind the (new) Marinapark. There will be snacks and soft (cold/warm) drinks and a basic lunch available on board. In the afternoon we'll sail back to the Volendam Marina Park and upon arrival (around 6pm ) we’ll have a toast together (ankerbier). Life vests are available for safety. (maximum size is large) When we are sailing on the Markermeer and you want to go on the deck, out of the cockpit, you will be required to wear a life vest. Swimming skills are preferred and sailing experience is welcome. Due to the nature of this trip and for your own safety a basic level of fitness is required. If you are new to sailing it is good to be aware that wind /weather conditions can change rapidly so we can experience some mild wind and easy sailing but also some stronger winds and waves and real sailing. Make sure to bring along several layers of clothing and preferably a wind and waterproof jacket and white sole shoes. It will be fun! Price: EUR 75,- p.p. to be paid in advance via https://www.ticketkantoor.nl/shop/oostvaardersdiep/en Last minute: EUR 95,- p.p (within 2 days of the trip) Max. number of participants is 7. Full= full Your spot is guaranteed once you have booked your ticket. If you want to join, please read the extra info via the ticketlink. Life vests are available for safety (max L). If the trip is cancelled because of weather conditions you will receive your full payment. In case you cancel your attendance for any reasons there is no refund. Please be aware that there are certain risks that are unique to waterborne sports. Of course, with good planning and well trained captain then 99% of the time you’ll be enjoying one of the most exciting day trips you’ll ever experience. However, it’s good to be prepared with a suitable (sailing) travel insurance policy in the event of accidents and injuries incurred on board. Participating in this trip is at your own risk. We are looking forward to seeing you on board, Erik & Monika
