What we're about

This meetup is about getting your fix for sailboat racing. It's an informal, open to all designs, short racing series, where the awards are made up and the points don't matter. If you are interested in joining the foray, find an inexpensive sailboat to bring out to the lake to sail. (Force 5, Laser, Dolphin, Fireball, Opti, Bic, Thistle(if you dare), Y-Flyer, bluejay, flying junior, Club/International 420, if you've got one, bring it.) If you don't know how to race, come out and learn. It's the best way to hone your sailing skills. We're going to meet every Thursday Night at Creve Coeur Lake about 5:30 between May 11 and September 21 to sail around the marks. RSVP and let us know you are going. If you don't already have a boat, come and check it out. Its a good place to talk about boats and learn what might be a good fit for you. You may meet someone who needs a partner or crew to get around the course faster. After the boats are put up and the sun goes down, we'll meet at the pavilion or move to an after-sailparty party to talk to tell lies and share a few after action snacks. Cost: $5 per sailor, or a dish/snack to share.
