What we're about

Studio Britford offers a range of workshops, classes and sessions that cover yoga, sound therapy, breathwork, trance dance, meditation and Wim Hof Method workshops and a twice monthly Womens Circle.

Gong baths: This is an opportunity to experience the vibrational healing and meditative sounds of gongs, singing bowls and other instruments and to rebalance and harmonise the body, bathing in the sound of gongs, kyeezee and tubular bells, drums, rattles and other sacred instruments. Mats, blankets, bolsters and eye masks are provided. This is a deep relaxing experience and it is unique and transportive with each bath.

Yoga: Held most days we have beginners yoga and more advanced class. Once a fortnight there is a restorative yoga and gong session which provides the perfect environment for the body to restore and rejuvenate.

Clarity Breathwork: This is announced on MeetUp and the Studiobritford FB page. Sessions are held about twice a month. Clarity Breathwork is a powerful process of healing and transformation. It deeply supports the clearing away of old energies, patterns, conditioning, negative thoughts and emotions and opens the doors wide for new life and greater consciousness. Clarity Breathwork supports people to release stress and tension, heal and resolve trauma, gain deeper insights into current life issues, and access one’s own internal healing energy, creativity and greater knowing.

Workshops: These day long workshops are held every 4-6 weeks and incorporate many of the modalities that are available at the Studio providing time to go deeper into the practices. There is a break for lunch after which there is a silent walking meditation around the labyrinth.

Wim Hof Method: Day workshops with qualified and exerienced WHM teachers are held occasionally and there is a regular WH group attending classes.

Women's Circle: Held twice a month details on the website.

Restorative yoga and gong bath -extended session

Studio Britford, The Heymersh,

Held twice a month these extended sessions enhance the experience of the gong bath by fully preparing the body to deeply relax. The session begins with restorative yoga and is followed by either some mantra singing or breathwork. This alternates each session. These extended sessions are between the regular gong baths that are also held twice a month. There are many benefits to restorative yoga and it has a deeper effect with gongs because we begin to cultivate the skill of conscious relaxation. No experience of yoga is needed because all the poses are on the floor and involve props as there is no active stretching and these supported resting poses are held for some minutes. This helps to release unnecessary habitual tension in the body and mind. Conscious breathing and the quietness of restorative yoga help us elicit a neurological response that tells us we are safe, pulls us out of "flight or fight" mode, and initiates the body's self-healing process. THER IS MORE INFOMATION ON THE WEBSITE: www.studiobritford.com £20/session. Please book by email: [masked] as most pople book via website/mailing list and the class can get full.

GONG BATHS 5pm & 7pm

Studio Britford, The Heymersh,

The gong baths are fortnightly and there are two sessions - 5pm and 7pm. Come and experience the vibrational healing and meditative sounds of gongs, singing bowls and other instruments. This is an opportunity to rebalance and harmonise the body and to be bathed in the sound of gongs, kyeezee, drums, rattles and other sacred instruments. Mats, blankets and eye masks are provided but bring a cushion and anything else that will help you be totally comfortable lying down. You will experience deep relaxation and may have a unique and transportive experience through the overtones and undertones of the gongs. The vibrations of the various instruments and in particular the gongs and singing bowls, lead to a reduction in brain waves going from Beta, Alpha, Theta and possibly Delta and it is this state that our bodies can undertake healing. This is an hour that will help you completely let go and sink into a deep state of peace as the sounds bathe you in vibration. Every cell in our body resonates at a different frequency and together, the gongs produce a full range of frequencies. Drink plenty of water afterwards to allow toxins which have been released to leave the body. Water (reverse osmosis), herb teas and refreshments are available. This is a wonderful time to meet others and exchange insights and experiences. Please arrive 10 mins before either session (5pm and 7pm). The doors are closed on the scheduled time so as not to risk any disturbance. This is for anyone interested in sound and vibrational therapy who wishes to experience different sound modalities and learn more about how these can be used in developing the Self and gaining greater harmony and balance within the entire body. £10/session. http://www.studiobritford.com Please book: [masked] as sessions get full from bookings via website/maling list Facebook: https://www.facebook.com
