Our sangha of Shin (Pure Land) Buddhists has been around for over 100 years! Our strength and longevity lie in lasting friendships and sense of community held together by Awareness, Authenticity, and Appreciation (AAA). This life of Nembutsu (Namo Amida Butsu) can best be understood by participating in discussion groups and classes, Sunday and special services, and realizing what we have learned through "dana" = selfless giving -- within and outside the sangha.
The truth about myself and how to best live my life with humility and gratitude.
Curiosity leads to investigation; investigation leads to understanding; understanding leads to acceptance; and acceptance leads to kindness.
Welcome! My name is Carmela and our group offers Buddhist teachings and practice to anyone interested, whether out of curiosity or on a serious spiritual quest for belonging and understanding of what it means to be an authentic human being.
