Everest Basecamp Trek 14 days
The trek to Everest Base Camp is one of the most inspiring in the Himalaya with fantastic views of Cho Oyu, Lhotse, Nuptse and Everest (4 of the 14 peaks over 8000m). The journey begins with a thrilling plane ride from Kathmandu to the small airstrip at Lukla. Its a two day hike from Lukla to Namche Bazaar where we catch the first glimpse of Everest. We follow the Imja Khol River up past the Buddhist temples of Tengboche to Dingboche at the base of the might Ama Dablam. Its another 2 days from Dingboche to Kalapathar (5,545m/18,192ft) and Everest Base Camp. The trails are good and you will enjoy the traditional Sherpa Hospitality in the tea house accommodation on way up. This trip is hosted by Himalayanwonders (http://www.himalayanwonders.com/nepal/everest-base-camp.html) (see reviews on tripadvisor (http://www.tripadvisor.com/Attraction_Review-g293890-d5583816-Reviews-Himalayan_Wonders_Day_Tours-Kathmandu_Kathmandu_Valley_Bagmati_Zone_Central_Regio.html)).
