Welcome couples over 50. We are a friendly group who enjoy hiking and other activities together as we build community and friendships. Come for part or all of the hike and /or picnic afterwards. Foothills Park is restricted to residents and their guests so this is a great time to visit as our guest! Foothills Park is a nature lover's paradise, providing spectacular views of the Bay Area. Wildlife abounds. It's common to see deer, turkey, coyotes, and the occasional bobcat. We'll hike past chaparral, woodlands, fields, streams, and a lake. Schedule: 8:20: Meet at gate off Page Mill Road*** 8:30 Park at Interpretive Center 8:35 Ranger talk about park. 9:00 Approx 4 mile hike is moderate with some significant inclines, connecting trails with varying terrains and a 950ft Vista Point. 11:00am Picnic at Orchard Glen at Foothills Please bring picnic food for 8, and something to sit on in case the tables are taken. I will bring recyclable paperware/water pitcher. When you RSVP add your partner as your guest. In discussion below please add your full names and what picnic food you will share. (I need list of names to allow entrance. If you don't want to post your names in discussion then email me privately) ****Please be on time since you will need to be accompanied by a Palo Alto Resident. I will also send out text to those who RSVP so you can reach me for emergencies. No dogs allowed on weekends.
Join our friendly group as we celebrate a traditional holiday at a hilarious improv show! We'll enjoy dinner together before a special Improv show at popular Made Up Theatre. Come for dinner, the show or both. Our group is welcoming and easy to join. This is a great opportunity to spend time with old friends and meet new people. We'll enjoy an evening of singing, dancing, live music, and wine. The HK band will play music from the 60's and 70's at Barbara and Barry's home in Menlo Park. Please bring wine and a desert to share. Spend a beautiful November morning exploring a unique three-acre garden on a guided garden tour. We'll then head to brunch at Hobees Restaurant in Palo Alto. Please join other friendly couples for the garden tour, brunch or both! The Elizabeth F. Gamble Garden has a rich legacy, a commitment to education, and year-round beauty.
